“ZERO” Xeriscaping Social Application – HCI 553 – Social Interaction Design – Depaul University-Invalid

This was a group project from a class dedicated to Social Interaction Design.  I never thought about all the varied and necessary components towards making a successful social networking application until I had to design one. This application was also pitched by myself then selected by my group members and is entitled “ZERO” as it pertains to xeriscaping or landscaping with little to no irrigation.  We wanted to create an application that would bring xeriscaping enthusiasts together to work on public and private projects based on their availability.  In general, the target for this app would be mid to low tech users and therefore should be designed with an ease of use.We made a typical persona, I drew up the sketch storyboards and from there we made some sketch wire frame paths for a heuristic analysis from another group.  Based on this analysis, we simplified the application by taking away many of the advanced features.  I made a simple low-fidelity prototype in Axure based on the comments/agreements and we polished it up to be interactive in a High-Fidelity prototype within Invision. https://projects.invisionapp.com/share/DG984FEUX#/screens/202966057_Splash
